ENTRADA IO4_POLICY REPORT_EN

7 3. How do you think that such training and learning activities addressing marginalized young people could be better promoted so that the target group will be interested and motivated to actively participate? We think social networks are the most useful tools to appeal to young people, even for marginalised groups. They are constantly connected, and they use them to get in touch with each other, be informed of daily news and get to know projects and activities in their local area and other interests. So attractive and frequent posts and wide hashtags are probably the best way to promote activities. Also, informing associations, NGOs and other organizations who work with migrant people, so they can send them the information that will help the promotion of activities. 4. To what extent do the resources fulfil the learning needs of adult educators in migrant training? ENTRADA materials are a very complete and useful resource in terms of training for adult educators who work with migrant people. Sessions that took place in Accem organization were very satisfactory. Theoretical explanations about culture, learning and languages were really interesting and they were the beginning of long and productive conversations about problems we find in our daily work. They made us refresh concepts, rethink our way of working and put on our users’ shoes. We should probably connect the idea of participation with their basic needs, tell them how the education activities will give them the appropriate skills to find a job, and specially to meet people, as creating a social net is so important to their integration. 5. To which extend can front-line adult educators in your or other organizations integrate the project resources into their training and education activities? The project resources directed to migrant people are quite complex for people we work with in our organisation, apart from the disadvantage that they are written in languages they don’t usually speak. However, we could use some of the activities with Spanish speakers or with high level Spanish students. Information on democracy, civil rights, job searching process... will be really interesting and useful for them.
