4 PROJECT APPROACH This Policy Paper has been issued in the framework of the project ENTRADA: “Using Challenge- based Learning to Support the Civic, Social and Economic Integration of Migrant Communities”. ENTRADA is a project funded by the Erasmus+ Spanish National Agency and its implementation from 1st of September 2019 to 30TH of November 2021. ENTRADA project is promoted by an experienced and engaged consortium representing 5 EU countries: 1. STP CONSULTING (ES) 2. Cooperative Speha Fresia (IT) 3. Future in Perspective (IR) 4. AUXILIUM , (AT) 5. CARDET, Centre for Advancement of Research and Development in Educational Technology (CY) 1 silent partner from Switzerland ( SVEB ). ENTRADA consortium partners are of the opinion that migrant integration will not be achieved by doing to migrant communities, or doing for migrant communities, but rather only by doing with migrant communities. It is for this reason that the whole project implementation has been carried out establishing Local Working Groups in each country, in order to fully engage migrant communities, adult education and migrant support workers as well as territorial stakeholders developing: • WebQuests are learning activities implemented by small groups of learners, in which they draw information from the internet to answer specific inquiries. A WebQuest consists of 6 elements: 1) Introduction 2) Task 3) Process 4) Resources 5) Evaluation 6) Conclusion. ENTRADA provides WebQuests in 3 thematic areas, with 4 subtopics each. Furthermore, for each topic, 3 difficulty levels are provided, ranging from introductory level to intermediate level and finally to advanced/expert level. Overall, 36 WebQuests are available for learners. It is available in 5 EU languages (EN, DE, GR, IT, ES). • An in-service training programme for adult education and migrant support workers working in migrant support centres that provides clear guidance and suggestions on how to address and implement training content and activities addressed to migrant communities. The ENTRADA In-Service Training is an offer for adult educators and migrant support workers. It provides 4 blended learning modules that include phases of guided learning (25 hours) and of self- directed learning (15 hours) There are 4 modules; Module 1 Introduction to digital learning with migrant audiences. Module 2 Dealing with educational, cultural and linguistic barriers in adult education Module 3 Pedagogic and didactic strategies to support the development of civic, social and economic competences in migrants. Module 4 Teaching in dynamic online environments using challenge-based resources They are available in 5 EU languages (EN, ES, DE, GR, IT) • A policy paper – the present document – in order to promote policy change at local, regional, national and EU level. All these outputs are accessible online on the project website and e-learning platform (http://www.entradaproject.eu) .
